At North Coast Clinical Psychology, we provide structured, no-nonsense psychological care grounded in the best available evidence. Led by Consultant Clinical Psychologist Jane McGregor, our clinic offers therapy for adults dealing with anxiety, trauma, chronic illness, adjustment to major life changes, and related conditions.

Whether you’re navigating a cancer diagnosis, struggling with panic attacks, or dealing with persistent low mood, we’ll work with you to develop a clear therapeutic roadmap tailored to your goals.

We offer appointments in person at our Ballina clinic or via Telehealth across NSW and beyond.

Every client begins with an initial assessment, where we work together to create a therapeutic roadmap – a tailored plan that sets a clear direction for treatment.

Appointment

50-minute consult: $280

  • Medicare rebate: $145.25 per session (up to 10 sessions per calendar year with a Mental Health Care Plan)
  • No referral needed — you can self-refer or come via your GP
  • Intake begins with a quick phone call to gather details, followed by a short intake call with the Psychologist before booking your first session

  • We offer in-person and Telehealth appointments

Who do you work with?

 We work exclusively with adults.

No. You can book an appointment directly or be referred by your GP with a Mental Health Care Plan to access Medicare rebates.

Your first appointment is an assessment where we’ll map out a personalised therapeutic plan based on your needs – your therapeutic roadmap.

A Clinical Psychologist has completed advanced postgraduate training (usually a Master’s or Doctorate) in clinical psychology, with additional supervised practice and endorsement from the Psychology Board of Australia. Clinical Psychologists are trained to assess and treat more complex mental health conditions.

 Yes. Telehealth appointments are available and work well for many clients.

Yes. Osteopathy can be very helpful during pregnancy and treatment is always adjusted to suit your stage and needs.

Yes. We accept most private health funds. Eligibility and rebate amounts will depend on your level of cover — please check with your provider.

Yes, we work with plan-managed NDIS participants. We are not a registered NDIS provider, so unfortunately we cannot accept NDIA-managed clients.

 Yes. We are an approved provider for the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA).

No. We are a private billing practice. However, if you have a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, you can claim a Medicare rebate of $145.25 per session.

 Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice will incur a cancellation fee.
